At The Pet Parent, we never use pain, fear, punishment or intimidation in training your dogs. Our dog trainer is accredited by the IAABC, an international organization that elevates animal behavior consulting and training worldwide with ethical standards and the effective use of Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive (LIMA) practices.
Behavior Training Programs
Our behavior training programs are conducted in person whether at our clients’ homes or where the behavior occurs. We start by doing a deep dive with you and your dog to understand the root causes of your dog’s behavior. We will discuss your dog’s history, routines and your training goals. All dogs are unique. Your training program will be specific to you and your dog alone. All behaviors are subject to evaluation on your first session.
We cover the following behaviors: Dog-Dog Aggression, Dog-Human Aggression, Leash Pulling or Leash Reactivity, Separation Distress, Resource Guarding, Anxiety, and others.

Life Skills Training
Programs
Our life skills training programs are designed to help you achieve reliability of skills that your dog will use throughout his lifetime. Whether your dog needs to learn his indoor skills or outdoor etiquette, we can help you! You may choose to prioritize indoor or outdoor skills or equip your dog with both through our mixed program!
PACKAGE ONE: 5 sessions (INDOORs OR OUTDOORS)

Indoor training: potty training, place training, 6 basic cues, indoor behaviors depending on your training goals
Outdoor training: leash walking, proper socialization, 6 basic cues, outdoor behaviors depending on your training goals

Weekly or biweekly sessions
PACKAGE TWO: 8 sessions (MIXED INDOOR & OUTDOOR)

How does scheduling work?
Our goal at The Pet Parent is for you to experience long-term results. I want you to get the most out of your time, money and efforts. We work with you and your dog. We equip you with the knowledge and skills to train your dog no matter what stage he is in!
Your dog’s habits and skills will be shaped through consistent practice and interactions with you. Your in-person training sessions with me will last for an hour but you are required to practice the activities I will leave you with during the time we are not together. This also prepares you and your dog to advance to the next level for the next session.
